Loving Literacy with Miss Brittany

You get them on Zoom.
I get them READING!

If you have a child between the ages of 5 and 9 who is struggling with reading, let’s chat! I have the solutions you are looking for.

I know you have heard literacy is the key to the world. You have, right? Because it is!

I also know you want your child to have that key. Obviously. You love them more than life itself.

So please hear me on this one thing.

There is a VERY NARROW window of opportunity here!

With every passing day, their learning gap widens and becomes increasingly difficult to close.

If that sounds scary, well, it is. BUT IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE! I promise you.

If you take this seriously right now, your child’s future will look completely different than if you don’t.

These kindergarten and first graders are in the PRIME stage for making enormous gains in half the time as their older peers. (And with a lot less stress on the child, too.)

Did you know 95% of struggling readers can be brought up to grade level if the intervention occurs before the end of first grade?! THAT IS HUGE!

My mission is to catch them in this window and RUN!!! Let’s get that kiddo on the path to flourishing literacy skills right now. Their future depends on it.

AND YOU DON’T NEED A TUTOR.

You need a passionate literacy specialist to create a personalized plan tailored to your child and craft a foundation for a lifetime of learning.

Early, intensive, and strategic reading intervention is the difference between a child who struggles through school for years and years (and years) and a child who gracefully blooms in each grade level as they tackle the challenge of new learning with confidence.

I don’t have to ask which of those paths you want for your child. I’m a mamma too. I already know.

This is the place for you if:

  • Your child is starting to notice that they struggle more than other kids and it rips your heart out to see their confidence shrink
  • You have helped as much as you know how but they still need MORE support
  • Your child’s teacher keeps sounding the alarm and you feel like there is nothing you can do about it. Maybe they are talking about retention.
  • You have printed a million worksheets and packets that your child has zero interest in doing with you
  • Daily homework and reading time is a battle that you are out of energy to fight
  • Their classroom behavior is on the downswing and it stems from the reading struggle
  • You love their classroom teacher but she has 26 other students and you know your child isn’t getting enough support in school
  • You are doing online school/homeschool and you feel lost without guidance on how to handle a struggling reader

I got you. Seriously. These are the challenges that fuel me.

Imagine logging your child onto a Zoom meeting and then doing your workout for the day or another simple task nearby WHILE THEY LEARN. (with a real teacher, I might add…not a computer program. GASP!)

Your child will be actively engaged with me personally! We have FUN in our sessions as I tackle strategic goals to make the most progress in their reading.

Every lesson is 100% tailored to your child’s individual needs with the perfect balance of confidence-building success and brain-stretching challenges that create steady growth

With a hands-on learning kit sent to your door prior to starting, each session is interactive and mirrors an in-person classroom learning environment.

First things first. Each new student will start with a series of diagnostic pre-assessments so I can determine exactly where we need to start. I’ll map out a plan based on the information I gather, and then we get to work.
You welcome me into your home via Zoom and I don’t take that lightly.
It would be an honor and a privilege for me to become a small part of your family’s circle, one member of the tribe, and an influential teacher in your child’s reading journey.
Building a relationship with your child is my top priority because I know that kids learn best from the teachers they connect with.
When your child has been working hard and putting in effort, you will begin to see the results in as little as 6 weeks. That moment when your child proudly hands you one of their practice books saying, “I want to read this to you!” will MELT. YOUR. HEART.

Nothing makes me quite as giddy as seeing that lightbulb moment happen for a child who has been struggling to take a single step forward.

That moment is what I focus on when the going gets tough. If plan A doesn’t work, there are 25 more letters. Ironic analogy to use when I’m talking about literacy, right?

But it’s important to know that the road to reading can be a bit bumpy….and that is exactly why I have years and years of tricks up my sleeve ready to deploy when the kids throw me for a loop.

I created a FREE GUIDE for parents of pre-readers and struggling readers to help you prevent the three most common mistakes I’ve seen parents make.

You don’t even know you’re making these three mistakes, but you might be making them daily and there is an EASY FIX.

I want to tell you three ways you can instantly influence your child’s literacy journey without needing to print anything, buy anything, or sit down for a designated practice time
